Payroll Responsibilities

The Payroll Department is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee pay. Payroll maintains the TimeClock Plus Timekeeping System, sick and vacation leave records, as well as processes tax withholding changes, direct deposit, 403(b) deductions, and other voluntary payroll deductions.

TimeClock Plus

Rapid! PayCard

To ensure employees have immediate access to their earnings, and to reduce district costs, Mesa Public Schools stopped issuing paper paychecks Oct. 12, 2017.

Employees who do not wish to sign up for traditional direct deposit will be registered for a PayCard, which will be loaded with their earnings each payday morning.

Some PayCard transactions may incur a fee. See the PayCard Fee Schedule for more information. This information is subject to change. Please contact rapid! PayCard to confirm the most current rates.



All changes to your W-4, A-4 and Direct Deposit must be made in your portal so our office can receive them electronically and in a timely manner.
Any changes you would like made on the next pay date will need to be received in Payroll no later than the Thursday before that pay day. We have forms on our website for your reference in case you need guidance prior to updating through your portal.
