Inclusive Preschool Programs at Mesa Public Schools
At Mesa Public Schools, we celebrate the uniqueness and abilities of every child. Our inclusive Early Learning Programs bring together young children of all abilities to learn, play, and grow in a nurturing environment.
Learning Together
In our high-quality, inclusive classrooms, each child receives the support, equipment, and materials they need to fully access the curriculum and participate meaningfully in all activities. Every preschooler has full access to the range of experiences our programs provide.
Play-Based, Standards-Aligned Curriculum
Our play-based approach is aligned with the Arizona Department of Education Early Learning Standards and focuses on:
Building critical thinking skills
Fostering social and emotional development
Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independence
We use The Creative Curriculum®, which allows children to explore studies through a variety of learning styles and hands-on experiences.
Individualized Instruction
Teachers use Teaching Strategies GOLD®, an authentic, ongoing assessment tool aligned with the Arizona Early Learning Standards. This helps us understand each child’s developmental progress and tailor instruction to meet their individual needs.
Growing Together
Children with and without developmental delays learn side-by-side, supporting one another and developing strong friendships in an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can thrive.
