The Food & Nutrition Department is dedicated to supporting the educational process by providing nutritious, flavorful and affordable options that fuel students’ bodies and minds. We believe that meals should be both nourishing and enjoyable; we take pride in offering a variety of foods that excite our students and satisfy their diverse needs. All items sold & served within our schools are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

FREE Summer Meals
The school year is almost over and summer fun is about to begin! Mesa Public Schools Food & Nutrition Department is offering the USDA Summer Food Service Program. This program provides FREE breakfast and lunch for children 18 years of age and younger at participating sites. Free meals are available in the cafeteria during meal service times. Meals are not available for “grab & go”, per USDA regulations. Adults can eat breakfast for $3.00 and lunch for $5.00.
2026 Summer Meal Programs
Anyone 18 years of age or younger can eat breakfast and lunch for FREE. Adults can eat breakfast for $3.00 and lunch for $5.00.

SUN Bucks - Summer 2026
SUN Bucks or Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program (SUN Bucks/Summer-EBT) provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children who lose access to free or reduced-price school meals when schools are closed for the summer. The district’s Educational Benefits Form for CEP schools does not qualify students for SUN Bucks. SUN Bucks is a partnership between the Arizona Department of Education and the Arizona Department of Economic Security. Mesa Public Schools does not issue the EBT cards or case numbers.
The SUN Bucks application will close on August 3, 2026.
